The Hillcrest School District extends its deepest sympathy to the Geurin family on the passing of Mrs. Debbie Geurin, who served our district faithfully for 32 years. Mrs. Debbie leaves behind a legacy of kindness to everyone she encountered at Hillcrest, but most importantly, a legacy centered on family. She took great pride in caring for her husband, Keith, their children, and grandchildren.

Elementary Parents that drop kids off in the morning; instructional time begins at 8:20AM on Monday's and 7:50AM Tuesday-Friday. If your child is going to eat breakfast, they need dropped off to allow them enough time to eat breakfast. Thank You.
Beginning tomorrow morning, Coach Durham's bus and Mr. Rose's bus will arrive to pick up students five (5) minutes earlier than the current pick-up time.
The Hillcrest School District's Fun Fest is Friday, September 27th, from 5:00-7:30PM. Donations for the Cake Walk can be made between 8:00AM-3:00PM on Friday, September 27th. Items needed are cakes, pies, cupcakes, and baked goodies! Thank You for your support!

Mrs. Brannon's Graphic Design classes are looking for any scrap fabric or fleece for applique and embroidery projects, and for making a few embroidered aprons as a community service project. We would be very grateful if you have anything you'd like to donate!

Our first intramural night is this Tuesday, September 10th. Game times are as follows:
1st-2nd grade girls at 5:00, 1st-2nd grade boys at 5:30
3rd-4th grade girls at 6:00, 3rd-4th grade boys at 6:30
5th-6th grade girls at 7:00, and 5th-6th Boys at 7:30
Other game dates are Friday, Sept. 13th; Tuesday, September 17th, Friday, September 20th, and Tuesday, September 24th. Admission is $3 for adults.

We will celebrate National Grandparent’s Day tomorrow, Friday, September 6th. Grandparents are welcome to come and visit the classroom immediately before their lunch time and then eat lunch with their grandchildren. Lunch is $4.50 per adult and will consist of spaghetti/meat sauce or chicken avocado wrap, Italian bread, salad bar, dessert, and drink. Please remind grandparents about which meal selection they choose. Everyone will eat in the cafeteria and in the case of siblings, all grandparents and siblings will eat with the lower grade’s lunch time. If grandparents do not want to visit the classroom, they may wait in the gym lobby for the classes to come to the cafeteria.
