Due to a decent chance of rain Saturday, we have decided to make Thursday night our tournament and trophy night for T-Ball. We will have 3 games Thursday night. We will hand trophies out for each player. We encourage everyone to attend since this will be our last night! We will move the start times up to 5:00.
5:00- Blue vs Black
6:00- Red vs Gray
7:00- Winners of 1st two games.
The Eagle’s Nest Summer Care Program will be open from May 23rd until August 10th. The program is open to all children who have had their 5th birthday and have not yet entered the 7th grade. Students will participate in a variety of learning activities incorporating literacy, math, and science hands-on FUN!! There will be daily indoor/outdoor physical activities/PE and independent play time. Art and Music activities will be scheduled weekly! Students will take several FIELD TRIPS during the summer program. A few scheduled trips will include swimming, movies, and bowling! 9-10 boys will practice baseball tomorrow 5-17 at the Lynn campus from 3:15-4:45.
The deadline to turn in donation tickets and money for the Hillcrest Elementary Athletics are due tomorrow morning. Please complete your ticket sales and return all money and tickets (sold and unsold) to school tomorrow. The live drawing will be at 1:00PM on the district’s Facebook page.
The Hillcrest Kindergarten and Sixth Grade Graduation will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 17th, in the multi-purpose facility on the elementary campus in Lynn. The Kindergarten Graduation is set to begin at 6:00PM, the Sixth Grade Graduation will follow at 7:00PM. Seating for the kindergarten graduation will be open. Seating for 6th grade will have assigned rows of ten, with extra seating in the bleachers, much like HS graduation.
The 11-12 Boys will practice at Lynn on Wednesday 12:30-2:00 and Thursday 3:15-4:30.
High School Academic and Athletic awards ceremony will be tomorrow, May 16th at 12:30pm in the Lynn Gym. Patrons are invited to attend the ceremony to honor our students. We will livestream the event on Facebook for those unable to attend.
Congratulations to the Hillcrest Senior Boys baseball team! They play in the 2nd round of the 1A State Tournament tomorrow against Mt Ida. Game starts 12:30pm at the Arkadelphia Youth Sports Complex. Go Screamin’ Eagles!

The Miss Hillcrest pageant will take place this Saturday at 5pm at the Lynn gym. Participants who would like to practice their walk may come at 3pm for a practice run. Practice is not mandatory. There will no admission, refreshments will be available for purchase.

Hillcrest Parents and Patrons,
Many of the Hillcrest Elementary students in grades 2-5 are selling donation tickets on a Stevens 301 20Ga, 3” Single-Shot Turkey Shotgun. We are going to be selling these donation tickets to help purchase intramural basketball t-shirts and new pee wee basketball uniforms for next year. Some background information; we purchase intramural t-shirts every year, free of charge to the students. Also, it has been eight (8) years since we last purchased pee wee basketball uniforms, so it’s past time for new ones. Each ticket is $5 each. If you would like to purchase a ticket, and do not have access to any of the students selling them, you may come buy the Hillcrest Elementary Office (Library) anytime during normal business hours next week. Ticket sales will end on Monday, May 16th. We will draw a winner on Wednesday, May 18th.
The winner must be 18 years old, pick up the shot gun at the Farm Service store in Walnut Ridge, and pass a Federal Background check when you pick it up.
The shotgun is being donated by Mr. Will Roberts (Mrs. Deanna’s husband); if you see him, or her, please thank them for their donation!
